My clients are diverse and have unique backgrounds and challenges. Many of my clients are young to middle-aged adult women, whom I’ve greatly enjoyed working with. Though many of our challenges may be interconnected, my work with clients mostly focuses on empowerment, self-compassion, and confidence. My clients are AMAZED by how their focus on increasing self-love, positively reverberates in every aspect of their lives. My clients appreciate my organized yet flexible style and are comforted that our work together is a solution-focused, safe collaboration! My Background and Approach I have worked with many, who have faced challenges related to family conflict/discord. I have worked with minority groups who face cultural/racial concerns. I have also worked with individuals who have faced sexual abuse (incest/external). I have helped my clients reach their goals by using evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, resulting in increased self-esteem, increased self-compassion, and identity autonomy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy I utilize the principles of Cognitive behavioral therapy, which is an evidenced-based approach with proven results. This approach relays that we have 3 levels of thinking. Cognitive theory shows us that we form beliefs and assumptions about ourselves and the world, beginning at a young age. We then naturally form behaviors/actions, based on our beliefs. The premise of our beliefs can have either positive or negative effects. In CBT, you will learn techniques for positive behavioral activation! Your journey to wellness and better relationships begins here! Tele-therapy for Trauma Tele-therapy for Racial Identity Tele-therapy for Depression Sexual Abuse/Trauma: Are you struggling with feelings of a loss of autonomy? Do you experience uncomfortable thoughts? Do you experience feelings of low-self worth? The results of sexual abuse or assault are emotionally burdensome and painful. I’ve worked with individuals, in which we begin to focus on a journey of healing through self-love and self-compassion. My clients experience a higher sense of self-worth and love, thereby creating safety for continued growth as individuals and in relationships. Racial Identity: Do you struggle with feelings of inferiority based on racial discrimination and prejudice? Do you feel a loss or confusion in your identity? Do you experience emotional distress in social environments or in your workplace as a result? I’ve worked with individuals who are considered to be apart of the minority groups. In our work together, it has been beneficial to engage in strategies that help to form comfort around one’s self, leading to insight about one’s identity as well as confidence. Depression is more than just sadness. Do you struggle with feelings of abandonment and emotional neglect? Do you feel you are not worthy of love and success? I’ve worked with many women, particularly those that have experienced the loss of a father or parental figure through death, separation, or divorce. In our work together, it has been important to focus on the identification of negative thoughts and self-concepts, in which we begin to re-create a positive identity through cognitive behavioral therapy. This has benefited their individual growth and relationships. Learn More Photo by Ave Calvar Martinez on Pexels.com Photo by Emre Kuzu on Pexels.com Share this:TwitterFacebook
